Northbrook students enjoy attendance at some of Illinois most recognized
schools. Northbrook elementary students are serviced by four different
school districts, which include Northbrook School District 28, Northbrook
School District 27, Northbrook/Glenview School District 30, and
West Northfield School District 31. Most high school aged students
in Northbrook attend schools in Northfield Township High School
District 225. Schools in this district include Glenbrook North High
School and Glenbrook South High School. Some high school students
that live near the Northfield and Northbrook border attend New Trier
High School in New Trier Township School District 203.
The Parks
The Northbrook Park District maintains numerous parks, two indoor
ice arenas, a twenty-seven hole golf course, twenty-two tennis courts,
countless ball fields, basketball courts, and playgrounds, two public
swimming pools and numerous classes and activities for all residents.
In addition to the great opportunities provided by the Park District,
Northbrook also takes great pride in its symphony orchestra and
its fine performing arts programs. Concerts and other cultural events
are held at the Forrest S. Sheely Center for the Performing Arts
and the Northbrook Leisure Center.
